This poem emerges from the work of the second edition of the AREVA Writers’ Room led by artist Jack Ky Tan with CVAN London, a collaborative space where the cohort from a broad cross-section of the visual arts and cultural ecology explored writing as a practice of connection, reflection, and critical exchange. Through generosity, peer support, and trust, the cohort has used words as tools for sense-making, resistance, and shared understanding.
Rooted in these values, the Writers’ Room seeks to co-produce open-access resources and policies that reflect collective insight and experience, practices nurtured and supported by CVAN London.
Here, the poem carries forward that spirit: a glimpse of collaboration, care, and the power of writing to imagine, question, and build together.

Cohort Reflections:
“What I’ve learned over the last few weeks is that changing our thinking and language can have a real impact.”
“The space encouraged honest discussion about challenges within organisations and how to approach change.”
“There was a real sense of collective exploration and learning from each other.”
“It reminded me of the importance of community in what can often be a solitary practice.”
These are just some of reflections that capture the honesty, inspiration, and impact of the programme, highlighting why the Writers’ Room continues to be such a vital space for organisations.
The full evaluation of The AREVA Writers’ Room II will be shared in due course.
